Michael Patrick Flynn, born on June 15, 1974, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, is a former professional American football player. He played as a center in the NFL. Mike Flynn was first signed by the Baltimore Ravens in 1997. He played college football at the University of Maine.
Mike Flynn's Early Life and High School Years
Mike Flynn grew up in Agawam, Massachusetts. He went to Cathedral High School in Springfield, Massachusetts. While there, he was a top athlete.
Flynn played football, basketball, and baseball. He earned a varsity letter in all three sports. Mike Flynn graduated from Cathedral High School in 1992.
Mike Flynn's NFL Career Highlights
Mike Flynn was not chosen in the 1997 NFL Draft. However, the Baltimore Ravens signed him as a free agent. They later released him. Flynn then briefly joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Ravens signed him again, and he made his NFL debut in 1998. Two years later, in 2001, the Ravens won Super Bowl XXXV. Flynn was the starting right guard for the team.
After the Super Bowl win, the Ravens' main center left the team. Flynn then moved to play center. He played this position for the Ravens until 2007. In 2008, the New England Patriots signed him. However, he was released before the season began.

After his football career, Mike Flynn started working in radio. He co-hosts a weekend radio show. The show is called "Johnston and Flynn." He hosts it with Ryan Johnston on 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston.
During the football season, Flynn also joins "The Toucher and Rich Show." This show is also on 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston. He appears on Mondays to talk about football.
