The name "Mil-Lel" has an interesting history! It's thought to come from an older name, "Mullel." This was the name of a waterhole nearby. The spelling of the name changed over time. For many years, it was written as two separate words: "Mil Lel." But on May 28, 2009, the spelling officially became "Mil-Lel."
The Mil-Lel Post Office

It was a smaller "receiving office" for a while, from October 1910. Then, it became a full post office again on July 1, 1927. Finally, the Mil-Lel Post Office closed down on June 30, 1993.
