Milluacocha is a very tall mountain in Peru. It is part of the amazing Andes mountain range. The name "Milluacocha" might come from the Quechua language. In Quechua, millma or millwa means "wool," and qucha means "lake." So, its name could mean "wool lake."

Milluacocha is a mountain that stands about 5,404 meters (or 17,730 feet) high. Some people say it might even be 5,480 meters (17,979 feet) tall! It is part of the Cordillera Blanca range. This range is famous for its many tall, snowy peaks.

Where is Milluacocha Located?

This mountain is found in the Ancash Region of Peru. More specifically, it is in Huaylas Province, within the Yuracmarca District. It's a beautiful area with lots of other mountains and natural features around it.

Milluacocha is surrounded by other interesting places. To its southeast, you can find the mountain called Santa Cruz. To the northwest, there is another mountain named Champara. East of Milluacocha, you will find Pilanco mountain. A stream called Los Cedros Creek flows along the southern side of Milluacocha.
