Milton of Leys is a growing area in the city of Inverness, Scotland. Its name comes from Scottish Gaelic: Baile Muilinn an Leigheis, which means "Mill-Farm of Medicine".
This area sits on high ground. From here, you can see the Moray Firth. It is about 3 miles (5 km) southeast of the city centre. The main A9 road is just to its east.
A Growing Community
Milton of Leys has mostly become a place where people live. This change started in the 1990s. Many new homes have been built here.
The area has grown a lot in the 21st century. It is now one of the fastest-growing parts of Inverness.
School Life
A local primary school was built in Milton of Leys. Construction began in June 2010. The school opened its doors in August 2011. Before this, children from the area went to Inshes Primary.
