Mission Hills is a neighborhood in Los Angeles, California. It is located in the San Fernando Valley. This area is known for its history and important roads.
Mission Hills is close to where two major freeways meet: the Golden State Freeway (I-5) and the San Diego Freeway (I-405). The Ronald Reagan Freeway (SR-118) also cuts through the community. Sepulveda Boulevard, a very long road, ends in Mission Hills. Other important streets include San Fernando Mission Boulevard and Devonshire Street.
The neighborhood's name comes from the nearby Spanish Mission San Fernando Rey de España, which was built in 1784. The Andrés Pico Adobe is here, which is the second oldest house still standing in Los Angeles. The San Fernando Mission Cemetery is also in Mission Hills. It is one of the oldest active cemeteries in the San Fernando Valley.
