Mitchell Leon Butler (born December 15, 1970) is an American sports agent. He is also a former professional basketball player. He played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1993 to 2004.

College Years at UCLA
Mitchell went to college at the UCLA. He played for the UCLA Bruins basketball team. He played in more games than any other player in UCLA history. He also had the seventh-most steals for UCLA.
Playing in the NBA
After college, Mitchell Butler joined the Washington Bullets in 1993. He was not chosen in the main NBA draft, but he still got to play. He played for the Bullets for three seasons.
Later, he was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers. This trade included another player named Rasheed Wallace. After playing for the Blazers, he joined the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Mitchell did not play in the NBA for two years after the 1999 season. But he returned to the league in 2001. He signed with the Portland Trail Blazers again. His last year in the NBA was the 2003–04 season. He played for the Washington Wizards, which was the new name for the D.C. team.
