Mitsuko Mori (born Mitsu Murakami) was a very famous Japanese actress. She was born in Kyoto, Japan, on May 9, 1920. Her acting career was incredibly long, lasting from 1935 until she passed away in 2012.

About Mitsuko Mori
Mitsuko Mori was a truly legendary actress in Japan. She made history in May 2009 by performing in the stage play Hōrōki (which means "A Wanderer's Notebook") an amazing 2,000 times! This made her the first actor in Japan to reach such a huge milestone for a single play.
Because of her incredible achievements and long career, she was given the People's Honour Award in 2009. This is a very special award given by the Japanese government to people who have done great things for the country. Mitsuko Mori passed away on November 10, 2012, in Tokyo, when she was 92 years old.
