Becoming Prime Minister

In 2002, Modibo Keita became Prime Minister for the first time. He was chosen by President Alpha Oumar Konaré. This first term lasted less than three months. He was the last Prime Minister appointed by President Konaré.

Years later, in 2014, President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita asked Modibo Keita for help. He became the President's main representative. His job was to talk with rebel groups. These talks were important for peace in Mali.
