Mohammad Abbaszadeh (Persian: محمد عباس‌زاده) was born on May 9, 1990. He is an Iranian professional footballer. He plays as a forward, which means he is a player who mainly tries to score goals. Currently, he plays for Persian Gulf Pro League club Nassaji Mazandaran.

Football Journey

Starting Out

Mohammad Abbaszadeh began his football career with a team called Moghavemat Sari. He played for them in the Division 2 during the 2009–10 season. After that, he took a break and did not play for any club in the 2010–11 season.

Playing for Sanat Sari

In 2011, Mohammad Abbaszadeh joined Sanat Sari. He played well for them, scoring 6 goals in 22 games. This helped him show off his skills as a forward.

First Time at Nassaji Mazandaran

In the summer of 2012, Abbaszadeh moved to Nassaji. He signed a two-year contract and was given the number 10 jersey. He played his first game for Nassaji on September 13, 2012. He quickly became a star, scoring 18 goals in just 23 matches. This made him the top scorer in the league that season!

Time with Persepolis

A New Challenge in 2013–14

Because he was the top scorer in the Azadegan League, many big teams wanted Mohammad Abbaszadeh. Persepolis, a well-known club from Tehran, was one of them. On May 3, 2013, he signed a three-year contract with Persepolis.

He quickly showed his talent, scoring five goals in five practice games before the season even started. His first official goal for Persepolis was in a 2–0 win against Sepahan. He scored a very important goal against Damash Gilan that helped Persepolis stay in the race for the league title. Even though Persepolis finished second, Abbaszadeh scored 5 goals in 13 games. He scored in 5 of the last 6 games, showing he was a key player. In August 2014, he was even named the best young player in the Iran Pro League for that season!

The 2014–15 Season

Mohammad Abbaszadeh continued to play for Persepolis in the 2014–15 season. His first game was a 1–1 draw against Naft Tehran. He scored his first goal of that season from a penalty kick against Padideh.

Return to Nassaji Mazandaran

Mohammad Abbaszadeh returned to Nassaji Mazandaran for a second time in 2016. This return was very special. He made a promise to Hani Nowruzi, the son of a famous player named Hadi Nowruzi, who had passed away. Abbaszadeh promised to score 24 goals in his memory.

He kept his promise, scoring exactly 24 goals in the league that season! He became the captain of Nassaji and his amazing goals made him very popular with the fans. They even gave him special nicknames like "Mr. Double," "Goal Machine," and "Shah Shahi."
