Mohammad Abbaszadeh (born May 9, 1990) is an Iranian football player. He plays as a striker for Persian Gulf Pro League club Zob Ahan. A striker is a player whose main job is to score goals.

Starting Out in Football

Mohammad Abbaszadeh began his football career with Moghavemat Sari. He played for them in the Second Division during the 2009–10 season.

Playing for Sanat Sari

Later, Mohammad Abbaszadeh joined Sanat Sari. He played 22 games for the team and scored 6 goals.

First Time with Nassaji Mazandaran

In the summer of 2012, Abbaszadeh moved to Nassaji. He signed a two-year contract and was given the number 10 jersey. He played his first game for Nassaji on September 13, 2012. He scored an amazing 18 goals in 23 matches, becoming the top scorer in the league that season.

Time with Persepolis F.C.

Joining a Big Club

After being the top scorer in the Azadegan League, many teams wanted Mohammad Abbaszadeh. Persepolis, a big club from Tehran, signed him on May 3, 2013. He signed a three-year contract with them.

He quickly showed his talent, scoring five goals in five practice games before the season started. His first official goal for Persepolis was in a 2–0 win against Sepahan. He scored a very important goal against Damash Gilan that helped Persepolis stay in the race for the league title. Persepolis finished second that season.

Abbaszadeh scored 5 goals in 13 games during the 2013–14 season. He scored in 5 of the last 6 games, showing how important he was. In August 2014, he was named the best young player in the Iran Pro League for that season.

Second Season with Persepolis

Mohammad Abbaszadeh played his first game of the 2014–15 season for Persepolis in a 1–1 draw. He scored his first goal of that season from a penalty kick against Padideh.

Return to Nassaji Mazandaran

Mohammad Abbaszadeh returned to Nassaji Mazandaran in 2016. In his first season back, he made a promise to score 24 goals. He kept his promise and scored 24 goals in the league. He was the captain of Nassaji that season. Fans loved him for his goals and gave him nicknames like "Mr. Double," "Goal Machine," and "Shah Shahi."
