Mohammad Taghavi (Persian: محمد تقوی) is a former Iranian football player who played as a defender. He later became a coach. He was most recently an interim manager for the Tractor team.
Mohammad Taghavi played for important teams like Esteghlal and also represented the Iran national football team.
Besides his football career, he also worked in television. From 2010 to 2015, he was a TV presenter for BBC Persian in Birmingham, where he explained football. Currently, he is a sports expert at Iran International.
Mohammad Taghavi comes from a family of football players. His three older brothers, Reza Taghavi, Hossein Taghavi, and Hassan Taghavi, also played football.
