Early Life and Music Start
Mohsen Yeganeh was born in Gonbad-e Kavus, Iran. This was on May 13, 1985. He started studying Industrial Engineering at university. However, he left his studies to focus on his music career.
Mohsen is the third child in his family. He has two older sisters. One sister is a doctor, and the other is a dentist. His father, Mohammadreza Yeganeh, was a hero who died in the Iran–Iraq War. His mother is a university professor.
Yeganeh began his music journey by learning the guitar. He became interested in music by chance. He heard a song called "Gol-e Gandom" by Shadmehr Aghili. This song made him love pop music. He taught himself to play the guitar. His family did not want him to study guitar formally. But Mohsen kept practicing and got very good at it.
Music Career
Mohsen Yeganeh's first song was "Nashkan Delamo." He sang it with Mohsen Chavoshi and Hamed Hakan. Yeganeh wrote the words and music for this song. His first album, Sal-e Kabiseh (Leap Year), was released unofficially.
For some years, he released many single songs. Later, these songs were put together into albums. He then decided to get an official permit for his music. After some time, he released his first official album. It was called Nafashaye Bi Hadaf (Aimless Breaths). This album came out on July 8, 2008.
After his first official album, Yeganeh spent a lot of time performing concerts. Two years later, he released his second album. It was named Rag-e Khab (Deep Sleep) and came out in August 2010. A song from this album, "Sokoot" (Silence), became very popular. It was named the most popular song in Iran in 2010.
His next album, Hobab (Bubble), was released in October 2012. It had 14 songs. Yeganeh first said this would be his last album. But his fans asked him to make more music. So, he changed his mind. He promised to work on a new album after releasing some single songs. His fourth album, Negahe Man (My Gaze), was released on May 10, 2015.
Mohsen Yeganeh writes most of his own song lyrics. He also creates and arranges music for other singers.
In March 2016, Yeganeh released a song called "Behet Ghol Midam" (I Promise You). This song was very well-liked. A music video for the song was filmed during a concert in August 2016. The video was released in January 2017. It became very famous around the world. The video has been watched over 250 million times. It is the most-watched Persian music video on YouTube.
