The Monaghan Way (which is called Slí Mhuineacháin in Irish) is a special long-distance walking path in County Monaghan, Ireland. It's about 65 kilometers (or 40 miles) long. This trail starts in Monaghan Town and finishes in Inniskeen. Most people take about three days to walk the whole path.

The Monaghan Way is officially recognized as a National Waymarked Trail. This means it's a well-known and important trail for hikers in Ireland. The National Trails Office, which is part of the Irish Sports Council, helps to manage it. The local government, Monaghan County Council, and a special group called the Monaghan Way Committee also look after the trail.

After Castleblayney, the trail takes you past two beautiful lakes: Lough Muckno and Lough Ross. These lakes are lovely spots to enjoy the scenery. The path then follows an old, unused railway line. This part of the trail runs alongside the River Fane. Finally, the trail reaches its end in the village of Inniskeen.
