Monrovia, also known as Vaughn Corners or Thompson Mill, is an unincorporated community in Madison County, Alabama, United States. This means it's a place where people live that isn't officially part of a city or town. Monrovia is located next to the city of Madison and the city of Huntsville. It also shares a border with Limestone County and the community of Harvest.

Monrovia's Past
A long time ago, Monrovia had its own post office. It was open from 1878 until 1904.
The Jeff Gin Story
The Jeff Gin is a special place in Monrovia. A "gin" is a machine that separates cotton fibers from their seeds. This gin started working in 1956. Two brothers, Erle and Wilburn Douglass, began the business. They called it Douglass Brothers.
Erle also had a farm with Jack Vandiver. Their farm was called Douglass & Vandiver. Jack Vandiver later helped manage the gin. By 1972, the brothers and Jack decided to change how the gin was run. They made it a "co-op," which means many people owned and shared it. The name then changed to Jeff Gin Company.
