Sadly, the future of the Mont-Tremblant Grand Prix became uncertain. This was because the Champ Car series and another big racing series called the Indy Racing League decided to join together. This big change was announced in February 2008. Because of this, the Mont-Tremblant race was officially cancelled on March 5, 2008.
