Montie was a regular at the Tournament of Roses Parade in Los Angeles, California. He appeared in the parade more than 60 times! People watching on TV would see him waving from his special silver saddle. He was a familiar and friendly face for many years.
Visiting Schools with Rex
Montie Montana often visited elementary schools with his horse, Rex. He would put special rubber horseshoes on Rex so the horse wouldn't slip on the asphalt playgrounds. Montie would show off his incredible rope tricks, both while riding Rex and standing on the ground. After his shows, he would give out photos of himself and Rex to the students.
