Montmeneu, also called Punta de Montmaneu, is a mountain in Catalonia, Spain. It is located near the towns of La Granja d'Escarp and Seròs. These towns are in the Segrià area.
About Montmeneu
Montmeneu is a unique hill that stands alone. It is part of the Catalan Central Depression, an area that is mostly flat. Because it is surrounded by flat land, you can see Montmeneu from very far away.
Views from the Top
At the very top of Montmeneu, there is a special marker. It is called a triangulation station and helps mapmakers. Its number is "247126001".
Even though Montmeneu is not the tallest hill nearby, it offers amazing views. The Puntal dels Escambrons is only 5 meters (about 16 feet) taller. But from Montmeneu, you can see a huge area around you.
This mountain is one of the Emblematic summits of Catalonia. This means it is considered an important and well-known peak in the region.
