Montojo Island is a small, mostly ice-covered island found in Antarctica. It is part of the Biscoe Islands group. This rocky island is about 527 meters (1,729 feet) long and 140 meters (459 feet) wide. Its total surface area is about 4.96 hectares, which is roughly the size of five football fields.
The island was named in honor of Frigate Captain Javier Montojo Salazar (1965-2018). He was an officer in the Spanish Navy. Captain Montojo Salazar was a member of a scientific team working on a satellite navigation project. He passed away during a research trip in South Bay, Livingston Island.

Montojo Island is located at coordinates 66°25′14″S 67°13′52″W / 66.42056°S 67.23111°W. It is situated in the southwest part of the Biscoe Islands.
The island is about 933 meters (3,061 feet) south of Belding Island. It lies 3.82 kilometers (2.37 miles) southwest of Kuno Point on Watkins Island. Montojo Island is also 3.26 kilometers (2.03 miles) west of St. Brigid Island. Finally, it is 3.77 kilometers (2.34 miles) east by north of Decazes Island. British maps first showed this area in 1976.
