Early Life and High School Football
Montravius Adams grew up in Vienna, Georgia. He went to Dooly County High School. In his final year of high school, he was a star player. He made many tackles and sacks, helping his team, the Bobcats, reach the state championship game. He was named All-State for two years in a row. He also played in the 2013 Under Armour All-America Game, which features the best high school players.
Experts like Rivals.com thought he was one of the very best young players in the country. Many colleges wanted him to play for them. On National Signing Day in February 2013, Montravius decided to play college football for Auburn University.
College Career at Auburn
Montravius Adams started playing for the Auburn Tigers in 2013 as a true freshman. In his very first game, he made a sack against the Washington State quarterback. Because of his great start, he was named a Freshman All-American.
He continued to play well throughout his college career.
- In 2014, he played in 13 games and started 10 of them. He made 43 tackles and 3 sacks.
- In 2015, he became a regular starter. He had 44 tackles and caused 2 fumbles.
- In his senior year (2016), he was a team captain. He made 44 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and even scored a touchdown. He was recognized as one of the best players in his conference.
After his senior season, Montravius played in the 2016 Senior Bowl. This is a special game where top college players show off their skills for NFL teams.
Professional Football Career
Montravius Adams was chosen by the Green Bay Packers in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft. This meant he was the 93rd player picked overall.
Playing for the Green Bay Packers
Montravius signed his first professional contract with the Packers in July 2017. He had foot surgery early on, which made him miss some practice. In November 2018, he got his first career sack against the Miami Dolphins quarterback. He played for the Packers until November 2020, when he was placed on the injured reserve list due to an injury.
Time with Other Teams
After leaving the Packers, Montravius Adams played for a few other NFL teams in 2021:

Joining the Pittsburgh Steelers
