Montravius Adams (born July 24, 1995) is an American professional football player. He plays as a defensive tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the National Football League (NFL). Before joining the NFL, he played college football at Auburn University.

Early Life and High School Football
Montravius Adams grew up in Vienna, Georgia. He went to Dooly County High School. During his senior year, he was a star player on the football team. He made 127 tackles and helped his team reach the state championship game.
He was named an All-State player for two years in a row. He also got to play in the 2013 Under Armour All-America Game. This game features the best high school football players in the country. Experts rated him as one of the top defensive linemen in his class. He chose to play college football for Auburn University.
College Football Career
Adams started playing for Auburn in 2013. In his first game, he made a sack on the opposing team's quarterback. He was recognized as a Freshman All-American for his strong start.
As a sophomore in 2014, he became a regular starter. He continued to make many tackles and sacks. By his junior year in 2015, he was a key player on Auburn's defense. In his senior year, he was a team captain. He had a great season, making many tackles, sacks, and even blocking kicks. He was named first-team All-SEC. This means he was one of the best players in the Southeastern Conference.
Professional Football Career
Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers picked Montravius Adams in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft. This was a big step into professional football. Soon after joining, he had foot surgery and missed the first part of his rookie season. In 2018, he got his first career sack against the Miami Dolphins. He played for the Packers until 2020.
New England Patriots
In March 2021, Adams signed with the New England Patriots. However, he was released by the team before the regular season began.
New Orleans Saints
Adams then signed with the New Orleans Saints in September 2021. He played in a few games for them. Later that year, he was released and then joined their practice squad. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team but are not on the main roster.
Pittsburgh Steelers
On November 30, 2021, the Pittsburgh Steelers signed Adams from the Saints' practice squad. He played in five games for the Steelers that season. He also played in his first NFL playoff game with them.
In March 2022, Adams signed a new contract to stay with the Steelers for two more years. He played in all 17 regular season games that year. He started in nine of those games, which was a career high for him. In 2023, he continued to be an important part of the Steelers' defense. He made 24 tackles and forced a fumble. He also played in another playoff game.
In March 2024, Adams signed another two-year contract with the Steelers. He got his first sack as a Steeler in September 2024 against the Atlanta Falcons. Later that season, he had a knee injury and was placed on the team's injured reserve list. This meant he couldn't play for a while. He was able to return to play in December 2024.
