Moon Bin (Hangul: 문빈; January 26, 1998 – April 19, 2023), known as Moonbin, was a talented South Korean singer, actor, and dancer. He was part of the popular K-pop boy group Astro and also a duo called Moonbin & Sanha. He was signed with the company Fantagio.

Early Life and Start
Moonbin was born on January 26, 1998, in Cheongju, South Korea. He went to Hanlim Multi Art School, where he studied practical music.
He had one younger sister, Moon Sua, who is also a K-pop idol in the girl group Billlie.
Moonbin's Career Journey
Starting as a Child Star (2006–2015)
Moonbin started his career very young, becoming a child model in 2004. His first big appearance was in 2006 in the music video for "Balloons" by the group TVXQ, where he played a younger version of one of the members. In 2009, he acted in the Korean drama Boys over Flowers, playing the younger version of a main character.
Moonbin joined Fantagio as a trainee when he was in fifth grade. He trained for many years to become an idol. Before officially joining Astro, he and his future group members starred in a web-drama called "To Be Continued".
Becoming an Idol with Astro (2016–2022)
Moonbin officially debuted with Astro, a six-member boy group, on February 23, 2016. Their first mini-album, Spring Up, was a big hit.
Moonbin also appeared in TV shows like The Ultimate Watchlist of Latest Trends in 2018. The next year, he acted in the drama Moments of Eighteen.
In November 2019, Moonbin took a break from group activities for health reasons. He returned in February 2020 and became a host for the music show Show Champion with his bandmate Yoon San-ha. He also played the main role in the web-drama The Mermaid Prince and joined a cooking show called Food Avengers.
In September 2020, Moonbin and Sanha formed Astro's first sub-unit, Moonbin & Sanha. They released their first mini-album, In-Out, and won their first music show award soon after.
Moonbin also joined the cast of Saturday Night Live Korea in 2021. In December 2022, he renewed his contract with Fantagio, showing his commitment to his music career.
Sad Passing
On April 19, 2023, Moonbin sadly passed away at his home in Seoul. He was 25 years old.
His agency, Fantagio, announced that his funeral was held privately on April 22, 2023, as requested by his family.
Moonbin's Music and Acting
Moonbin was known for his powerful vocals and dancing. He also helped write some of Astro's songs, like "You & Me (Thanks Aroha)" and "Candy Sugar Pop". He even wrote and composed his solo song "Desire".
