Moose Deer Point First Nation is a community of Potawatomi people in Ontario, Canada. They have a special area of land called Moose Point 79. This land is located along a beautiful area called Twelve Mile Bay.

About Moose Deer Point First Nation

Moose Deer Point First Nation is part of a larger group called the Anishinabek Nation. The people of Moose Deer Point are descendants of Potawatomi families. These families moved from the American Midwest in the 1830s. They first settled on Beausoleil Island in Georgian Bay. Later, they moved to their current home. Their reserve, Moose Point 79, was officially set aside in 1917.

The main road in Moose Point 79 is Twelve Mile Bay Road. This road connects the community to a major highway, Ontario Highway 400.
