The Moosomin First Nation is a group of Cree people. They are a First Nation in Canada. Their main community is near Cochin, Saskatchewan.
The Moosomin First Nation has several special areas of land called reserves. These lands are north of North Battleford. The First Nation has more than 1,500 members. They manage over 50,000 acres (about 200 square kilometers) of land.
The name "Moosomin" comes from the Cree word for "mooseberry." This berry is also known as a high bush cranberry. The First Nation is named after a Cree Chief called Moosomin.
