Career

Music

Morgan Nichols started writing songs when she was 15. This was before she began singing or playing the guitar.

In 2007, a song she wrote was used in the movie Bratz: The Movie. The song was called "Doesn't Take Stars to Shine." This helped her get new chances. She even opened for famous musicians like jazz violinist Ken Ford. In the same year, she went on her first national tour. It was called "Singing for College." She used the tour to raise money for her college tuition. She performed in cities like Atlanta, St. Louis, Dallas, and Los Angeles.

In 2014, Morgan and her sister, Jamie Grace, appeared on a Christmas album. It was called Family Christmas by Gotee Records. Morgan also helped write five songs on her sister's second album. That album was Ready to Fly, released in the same year.

Her first studio album, Morgan Harper Nichols, came out on May 19, 2015. Gotee Records released it. The first song on the album, "Storyteller," featured her sister Jamie Grace.

She also shares it anonymously on social media. Morgan says she does this to be kind every day. She wants to "connect with people on a heart-level." She creates all her words and art on an iPad Pro.

Her first book, Storyteller, was released in December 2017. This book has one hundred poems written as letters. Her book, How Far You Have Gone, came out on April 27, 2021. It is a collection of poems and essays with pictures. She is also planning to release another book in October 2021.
