Morgan Paull (December 15, 1944 – July 17, 2012) was an American actor. He was best known for playing Dave Holden in the famous science fiction movie Blade Runner.
About Morgan Paull
Morgan Paull was born into a well-off family in Wheeling, West Virginia. He loved acting from a young age. He performed in many plays during high school. When he wanted to study acting in college, his father disagreed. So, Morgan left home to follow his dream. He started acting in theaters like the Barter Theatre. He later performed on Broadway in New York City.
His Acting Career
After moving to Los Angeles, Morgan Paull quickly got noticed. He made his first movie appearance in the 1970 film Patton. He played Captain Richard N. Jenson in this movie. He also appeared in Fools' Parade (1971) with Jimmy Stewart. In 1976, he was in The Last Hard Men with Charlton Heston.
One of his most famous roles was Dave Holden in the 1982 science fiction movie Blade Runner. He also played Philip Wendell in the 1978 TV miniseries Centennial. In 1984, he was a businessman in the comedy Surf II. Morgan Paull also lent his voice to the character Matt Hunter in the animated movie GoBots: Battle of the Rock Lords (1986). His final movie role was in Uncle Sam in 1996.
Morgan Paull also acted in many television shows. He appeared in popular series like The F.B.I., Ironside, and Gunsmoke. He was also in Emergency! and The Waltons. From 1984 to 1985, he voiced Matt Hunter and Scorp in the cartoon series Challenge of the GoBots.
His Life and Family
Morgan Paull lived in Lake Arrowhead. This area is in the mountains northeast of Los Angeles. He was married and had two daughters.
Morgan Paull passed away on July 17, 2012. He died from stomach cancer at his home in Ashland, Oregon. He is buried in his family's plot in Greenwood Cemetery, West Virginia.
