History of Morristown

Morristown was first planned out in 1828 by a person named Samuel Morrison. The town was actually named after him! The local post office, where people send and receive mail, has been open since 1834.

A special building in Morristown, the Junction Railroad Depot, is very old and important. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. This means it's a historic site worth protecting!
