History of Mount Cory Village
Mount Cory was first established in 1872. At that time, it was simply called Cory. The village was created when a railroad line was built through the area, making it easier for people to travel and transport goods.
The village was named after D. J. Cory, who owned the land where the town was built. A post office has been open in Mount Cory since 1873, helping residents send and receive mail for over a century.
