Mount Othrys (Greek: όρος Όθρυςoros Othrys) is a mountain in central Greece. It is located in the northeastern part of Phthiotis and the southern part of Magnesia. This mountain is famous in ancient Greek myths.

According to Greek mythology, Mount Othrys was very important. It was the home base for the Titans during a huge war. This war was fought against the younger Olympian Gods. The Olympians had their base on Mount Olympus. These two famous mountains were about ten miles apart.

The Titans' Stronghold

The Titans were powerful beings from ancient Greek myths. Their leader was Kronos. After Kronos was freed, he ordered the Cyclops and the Hekatonkheires to build a special castle. These were giant, strong creatures.

Building the Black Castle
