Muhsin Al-Ramli (whose full name is Muhisin Mutlak Rodhan) is a famous writer from Iraq. He was born on March 7, 1967. Since 1995, he has lived in Madrid, Spain.
Muhsin Al-Ramli is also a talented translator. He has translated many classic books from Spanish into Arabic. One of his biggest projects was translating the entire book Don Quixote from Spanish to Arabic. He also teaches at the Saint Louis University Madrid Campus. Plus, he helps run a magazine called Alwah, which focuses on Arabic literature and ideas. He even helped start this magazine!

About His Life and Learning
In 2003, Muhsin Al-Ramli earned a special degree called a Doctorate. He studied Philosophy and Spanish language at the Autonomous University of Madrid. His main project for this degree was about how Islamic culture influenced the famous book Don Quixote. Muhsin Al-Ramli also has a brother, Hassan Mutlak, who is also a writer and poet.

His Translation Work
Muhsin Al-Ramli has also translated works by other authors. For example, he translated a piece called Laranjas e giletes em Bagdá/Naranjas y cuchillas en Bagdad by Fedra Rodríguez Hinojosa. This translation was published in a literary magazine in Brazil in 2010.
