Mullaitivu District (Tamil: முல்லைத்தீவு மாவட்டம்; Sinhala: මුලතිවු දිස්ත්රික්කය) is one of the 25 districts in Sri Lanka. Districts are like big areas that help manage the country. The main town, or capital, of this district is Mullaitivu.

Where is Mullaitivu District?
Mullaitivu District is located in the northeastern part of Sri Lanka. It is part of the Northern Province. The district covers an area of about 2,617 square kilometers (1,010 square miles). This makes it the 11th largest district in Sri Lanka.
How is Mullaitivu District Governed?
The district is managed by a District Secretary, who is like the main leader. There are also elected officials who represent the people. These include Members of Parliament (MPs) and Members of the Northern Provincial Council (MPCs). They work to make decisions for the district.
What are Divisional Secretary's Divisions?
Mullaitivu District is divided into smaller areas called Divisional Secretary's Divisions, or DS Divisions. These smaller parts help with local administration. There are five DS Divisions in Mullaitivu District:
