Munchies are yummy chocolate treats made by Nestlé. They first came out in 1957, created by a British company called Mackintosh's. Later, in 1988, Nestlé took over Mackintosh's and started making Munchies.
The classic Munchies are small, round sweets. They have a chewy caramel and crunchy biscuit inside, all covered in smooth milk chocolate.
Different Kinds of Munchies
Munchies have come in many exciting flavors over the years!
Minty Munchies
Back in 1995, a sweet called "Mintola" got a new name: "Mint Munchies." These were similar to regular Munchies but had a cool, minty center covered in plain chocolate. Later, in 2006, Mint Munchies changed their name again to "After Eight Bitesize."
New Flavors to Try
In September 2019, Nestlé launched two brand-new Munchies flavors. One was called Chocolate Fudge Brownie, and the other was Cookie Dough. These offered a different taste experience for fans.
In 2021, another new flavor arrived: Salted Caramel Fudge. This one combined sweet and salty tastes.
Limited Edition Munchies
Sometimes, special limited-edition Munchies appear! In August 2020, Nestlé released Munchies with a delicious white chocolate shell. These were only available for a short time.
In March 2023, as part of their "Golden Collection" of chocolates, Nestlé introduced "Munchies Gold." These special Munchies were made with Caramac chocolate, giving them a unique golden color and creamy taste.
