Muridke (Urdu: muridke) is a city in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is the main town, or headquarters, of Muridke Tehsil, which is a smaller administrative area within Sheikhupura District. Muridke is one of the larger cities in Pakistan, ranking as the 53rd most populated city.
The city is located close to the big city of Lahore. Muridke sits about 205 meters (675 feet) above sea level. An important and historic road called the Grand Trunk Road passes through Muridke. In 2005, Muridke became the main town for the newly formed Muridke Tehsil.
