Fish in Murphy Lake
Lakes are home to many different kinds of fish. In 2008, a special effort was made to help the fish population in Murphy Lake. The lake was stocked with brook trout. Stocking means adding young fish to a lake. This helps to make sure there are enough fish for fishing and to keep the lake's natural balance healthy. The town of Hope is near where this stocking happened.
