Mustafa Zaidi (born Syed Mustafa Hasnain Zaidi; 10 October 1930 – 12 October 1970) was a famous Urdu poet and a government officer from Pakistan. He wrote beautiful poems and also worked to serve his country.

Life and Career
Early Life and Education
Mustafa Zaidi was born on October 10, 1930, in Allahabad, which was part of British India at the time. He grew up loving poetry and writing.
Working for the Government
In 1954, Mustafa Zaidi passed a special exam to become a civil servant. This meant he would work for the government. He went to England for training. After his training, he held important jobs like deputy commissioner and deputy secretary. These roles involved helping to manage different parts of the government and serve the public.
He married Vera Zaidi, who was from Germany. They had a son and a daughter together.
In June 1970, Mustafa Zaidi, along with many other government officers, was asked to leave his job. This happened during a time when the country's leader, General Agha Mohammad Yahya Khan, made many changes.
His Passing
Mustafa Zaidi passed away on October 12, 1970, in Karachi, Pakistan. He was 40 years old, just two days after his birthday. He was buried in the Wadi-e-Hussain cemetery in Karachi.
His Poetry
Writing Style and Pen Name
Mustafa Zaidi was a talented poet. He sometimes used the pen name "Tegh Allahabadi" when he wrote. His early poems often talked about love and feelings.
Published Works
He started writing poetry when he was very young. At just 17 years old, he published his first collection of poems called Zanjeeren in 1949.
He continued to write and publish many more books of poetry throughout his life. Some of his well-known collections include:
