My Gym Partner's a Monkey is a fun American cartoon show. It was made by Tim Cahill and Julie McNally Cahill. The show aired on Cartoon Network from December 26, 2005, to November 27, 2008. It had four seasons and 56 episodes.
The story is about a human boy named Adam Lyon. Because of a simple spelling mistake, his last name was written as "Lion." This error sent him to Charles Darwin Middle School. This school is special because it's for talking zoo animals! There, Adam becomes best friends with a spider monkey named Jake, who is his gym partner.
The animation for the show was done by Saerom Animation. This company also worked on other popular cartoons like Adventure Time and Regular Show. My Gym Partner's a Monkey even won an Emmy Award in 2007!

What's the Show About?
Adam Lyon is a 12-year-old boy who accidentally gets sent to a middle school for talking zoo animals. This happens because his last name, Lyon, was misspelled as "Lion."
At this unique school, Adam makes new friends. His best friend is a playful spider monkey named Jake. Other friends include Lupe, a sassy toucan, and Ingrid, a giraffe who likes Adam. There's also Windsor, a smart gorilla, and Slips, an easygoing python.
Even though Adam likes his friends, he really wishes he could go back to his old human school. He feels out of place at Charles Darwin Middle School.
Most episodes show Adam's adventures and challenges at the animal school. He often struggles to fit in with his animal classmates. Sometimes, he has to deal with new students who are strange or even dangerous animals. The show also explores what it's like for these zoo animals to grow up.
