Brian Doyle-Murray is an American actor, comedian, and screenwriter. He was born on October 31, 1945. He is well-known for his many roles in movies and TV shows. You might know him from films like Caddyshack and Groundhog Day. He has often worked with his younger brother, the famous actor Bill Murray.
Brian Doyle-Murray has also lent his voice to many cartoon characters. He is the voice of The Flying Dutchman in SpongeBob SquarePants. He also voiced Captain K'nuckles in The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. He has been nominated for three Emmy Awards for his writing on Saturday Night Live.

Early Life and Family
Brian Murray was born in Evanston, Illinois, on October 31, 1945. He is one of nine children in his family. His parents were Lucille and Edward Joseph Murray II. Brian went to Saint Mary's College of California when he was younger.
He has several brothers who are also actors, including Bill Murray and Joel Murray. His oldest brother, Ed, was a businessman. Another brother, Andy, is a chef and runs a restaurant called "CaddyShack." Brian added "Doyle" to his name, which was his grandmother's maiden name. He did this to avoid being confused with another actor named Brian Murray.
Brian's Career in Comedy and TV
Brian Doyle-Murray started his career in comedy in the early 1970s. He worked with a comedy group called The Second City. He was also part of a radio comedy show called The National Lampoon Radio Hour. Many famous comedians, like John Belushi and Gilda Radner, were also on this show. His brother Bill was there too!
Later, Brian joined the TV show Saturday Night Live with Howard Cosell. After that show ended, he became a writer for the popular Saturday Night Live (SNL) in 1978. He also became a cast member on SNL. He was one of the few people to work as a writer for different producers of the show. His writing on SNL earned him three Emmy Award nominations.

He was also in Wayne's World (1992) as Noah Vanderhoff. Other movies he appeared in include Sixteen Candles (1984), Dr. Dolittle (1998), Stuart Little (1999), and 17 Again (2009).
On TV, he had a recurring role as Don Ehlert on the ABC sitcom The Middle. He also played Hank Murphy on the TBS show Sullivan & Son.
Brian is also well-known for his voice acting. He voices the spooky Flying Dutchman on SpongeBob SquarePants. He was Coach Tiffany Gills on My Gym Partner's a Monkey. He also had a main voice role as Captain K'nuckles in The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. You might have heard his voice in Family Guy and King of the Hill too.
Personal Life
Brian Doyle-Murray married Christina Stauffer on August 28, 2000. Christina used to be an assistant director and is now a veterinarian.
