Story of the Movie

Rob McGoarty, who owns the appliances, is almost finished with college. He calls the appliances his "Master." Rob works at a clinic for animals. One night, while he is writing his final paper, his computer crashes. A bad computer virus causes the problem.

The brave appliances, along with a rat named Ratso, want to help Rob. They decide to find a way to fix the virus. This will help Rob get his important paper back.

Meanwhile, Rob's lab assistant, Mack, has a secret plan. He wants to sell the injured animals Rob is caring for. He plans to send them to a place called "Tartarus Laboratories" in Santa Clarita. An old monkey named Sebastian was sent there when he was young.

The appliances find an old radio in the basement. It is a prototype TLW-728 radio named "Wittgenstein." He is broken and alone. He became old when transistors were invented. Wittgenstein is also infected with the same computer virus. This virus affected Rob's computer too. Wittgenstein tells them he is running on a very rare vacuum tube. He says that if they do not find a new tube soon, he will stop working forever.

Radio and Ratso try to find the special tube. They go to the college's storage building. They find the rare WFC-11-12-55 tube. But when they come back, they accidentally break it. It seems like there is no hope left. Wittgenstein tries his best, but the virus makes his last tube explode. He stops working.

Ratso feels bad and blames Radio. He also feels guilty about the animals. He decides to give up his own tube to save Wittgenstein. The appliances quickly put Ratso's tube into Wittgenstein. With this new power, Wittgenstein wakes up! He fixes all his other tubes and gets rid of the virus. He is now as good as new.

With the help of the appliances and Wittgenstein, they tell Rob and his girlfriend Chris what is happening. The guard dogs also help. They all work together to stop Mack from selling the animals. Mack is then arrested. Rob and Chris find the appliances in the truck. They think Mack was trying to sell Rob's things too. Later, they find Wittgenstein and Radio in the basement. Chris finds a new tube for Radio in Nome and fixes him.

Wittgenstein is sold to a museum. He will be updated with new technology there. He also fixed Rob's final paper, which makes Rob very happy. In the end, all the animals find new homes. Rob and Chris decide to keep Ratso as their pet. Rob asks Chris to marry him, and she says yes! They leave college with the appliances and Ratso, ready for a happy new life.
