Myjai Sanders (pronounced MY-jay; born July 12, 1998) is an American professional football player. He plays as a defensive end for the Birmingham Stallions. This team is part of the United Football League (UFL). Before joining the UFL, he played college football for the Cincinnati Bearcats. The Arizona Cardinals chose him in the third round of the 2022 NFL draft.

Early Life and High School Football
Myjai Sanders grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. He first attended William M. Raines High School. Later, he moved to Camden County High School in Kingsland, Georgia. This move happened before his junior year.
High School Achievements
During his senior year, Myjai played very well. He was named to the Coastal Georgia All-Area team. This honor came from The Brunswick News. He made 39 tackles and had three sacks. He also hurried the opposing quarterback seven times. After high school, Sanders decided to play college football at Cincinnati. He chose Cincinnati over offers from other big schools.
College Football Career
Myjai Sanders started his college career in 2018. He played in ten games as a reserve player. In his freshman season, he recorded seven tackles.
Becoming a Starter
As a sophomore, Myjai became a starter for the Cincinnati Bearcats. He had a strong season with 40 tackles. He also made seven tackles for loss and four sacks.
Junior Year Success
In his junior year, Sanders was recognized for his talent. He was named a semifinalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award. This award goes to the best defensive player in college football. He also earned the title of American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week. This happened after a game where he had six tackles and 1.5 sacks. Cincinnati won that game 49–10 against Memphis.

Arizona Cardinals (2022–2023)
The Arizona Cardinals selected Myjai in the third round of the 2022 NFL draft. He was the 100th player chosen overall. In August 2023, Sanders was placed on injured reserve. This meant he could not play due to an injury. He was released by the Cardinals in October 2023.
Houston Texans (2023)
Soon after, in October 2023, the Houston Texans picked up Sanders. They claimed him off waivers. This means they took over his contract. He played for the Texans for a short time. He was waived by the team in April 2024.
Birmingham Stallions (2025–Present)
