How Nabb Got Its Name
Nabb was named after an important person called General Nabb. He was an official who worked for the railroad. This shows how important railroads were for naming places a long time ago!
Post Offices in Nabb
For many years, Nabb had its own post office. The first one opened in 1878 and closed in 1881. Later, a second post office served the community from 1914 until 1970. Post offices were very important for sending letters and packages in the past.
The 2012 Tornado
On March 2, 2012, a powerful tornado hit Nabb. This tornado was very strong. It was rated as an EF4 tornado. It started in a nearby place called Marysville, which is about five miles away. The tornado then moved towards another community named Chelsea.
