Namaka is a small community called a hamlet in southern Alberta, Canada. It is part of Wheatland County. You can find Namaka about 10 kilometers (6 miles) south of Highway 1. It is also about 55 kilometers (34 miles) east of the big city of Calgary.

The name Namaka has a special meaning. In the Blackfoot language, it means "near the water." The very first school in Namaka was built a long time ago, in 1909.
