Nambal is a special place in Pakistan. It's one of 51 "Union Councils" in the Abbottabad district. A Union Council is like a small local government area. Nambal is located in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Where is Nambal?

Nambal is a mountainous area found in the eastern part of the Abbottabad district. It shares a border with Kashmir. People in Nambal and Kashmir have strong trade and family connections. The main village in this area is also called Nambal, which is how the Union Council got its name.

There are many other famous villages in Nambal. Some of these are Leeran, Bribagla, Mujot, Langaloot, and Nakthar. These villages are high up on the mountains. From there, you can see amazing views of Azad Kashmir, Murree, and Thandiani. Because of the tall mountains, it can be quite tricky to reach this small valley.

What is the Climate Like?

The Nambal valley is full of Bhayar trees. At the top of these villages, near a place called TOPA, there is a beautiful forest of these trees. Since these villages are on a mountain, they get a lot of snow in winter. It can snow about 3 to 4 feet deep! Winters are very cold here. However, the summers are quite pleasant and mild.

How is Nambal Organized?

The Nambal Union Council is split into two main parts: Majuhan and Nambal. In the year 2000, some changes were made to local government. As part of these changes, Majuhan became a part of the Nambal Union Council. This helped to organize the area better for local services.
