Napo is a province in Ecuador, a country in South America. Its capital city is Tena. The province is named after the Napo River, which flows through the area.
In 2000, Napo was special because it was the only province in Ecuador where most people were indigenous. About 56.3% of the people identified as indigenous or spoke an indigenous language.

The province of Napo is divided into five smaller areas called cantons. Each canton has its own main town or capital.
