Narendra Jha (born January 21, 1964 – died March 14, 2018) was a talented actor from India. He was well-known for his roles in many popular Bollywood movies. Some of his most famous films include Haider, Raees, and Mohenjodaro. He also appeared in many TV shows, often playing important characters, sometimes even the bad guy! His last movie was the action film Race 3.
About Narendra Jha's Career
Narendra Jha loved acting from a young age. He used to perform in plays in his village in Madhubani. Later, he studied ancient history at JNU, a big university in India.
His professional acting journey began in 1992. He took an acting course to learn more about the craft. When he moved to Mumbai, he got many offers for modeling. He became a familiar face in TV commercials.
He acted in over 20 TV shows before getting his first big movie role. In 2002, he appeared in the film Funtoosh. The next year, he worked with famous director Shyam Benegal in Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero. He later played the role of Muhammad Ali Jinnah in another one of Benegal's projects, Samvidhaan.
His Final Days
Narendra Jha had faced health issues before. Because of this, he moved to his farmhouse in Panvel with his wife. Sadly, he passed away at his farmhouse in Nashik on March 14, 2018. He was 54 years old and died from a heart attack.
