Narrows, also called The Narrows, is a small community in Harney County, Oregon, in the United States. It is not an official city or town. The community was started in 1889 by two people, Lewis B. Springer and Albert Hembree.
A post office opened there in August 1889. Mr. Springer, who was the first postmaster, initially named it after himself. However, in April 1892, the name was changed to Narrows, and Albert Hembree became the new postmaster. The Narrows post office stayed open until 1936. Today, mail for Narrows comes from the New Princeton post office.
