You can find Narrows Pond in Kennebec County, Maine. It's a popular spot for people who enjoy spending time outdoors.
What is Narrows Pond?
Narrows Pond is unique because it's split into two parts. A small piece of land, called an isthmus, separates the Upper and Lower ponds. An isthmus is a narrow strip of land that connects two larger land areas, with water on both sides.
A road called Narrows Pond Road crosses this narrow land strip. There's also a special pipe, called a culvert, that lets water flow between the two lakes. If you're in a canoe or kayak, you can even paddle from one lake to the other! Just be ready to duck your head as you go through the culvert.
