Early News Roles
In July 2008, Natalie began presenting the Seven Early News program. This show aired at 5:30 AM and led directly into Sunrise. She continued her role as the news presenter on Sunrise at the same time. Natalie also sometimes filled in as a presenter for Seven News Sydney.
Guest Appearances
Natalie Barr even made a special guest appearance on the popular Australian TV show Home and Away. On April 16, 2018, she appeared as herself, reporting on a missing character named Ava Gilbert.
Becoming a Sunrise Co-Host
Natalie's role on Sunrise grew over time. In June 2020, it was announced that she would host Sunrise on Mondays and Fridays. This happened because the main co-host, Samantha Armytage, wanted to work a bit less. However, Natalie soon went back to presenting the news five days a week.
In January 2021, Natalie again became the permanent Friday co-presenter for Sunrise. Then, on March 14, 2021, Natalie Barr was officially named the main co-host of Sunrise. This happened after Samantha Armytage left the show. Today, Natalie continues to co-host Sunrise alongside Matt Shirvington.
