Natalie Glebova (born Natalya Vladimirovna Glebova; 11 November 1981) is a Canadian who won the Miss Universe 2005 beauty pageant. Before that, she won the Miss Universe Canada 2005 title.

Early Life and Education
Natalie Glebova was born in Tuapse, Russia, on November 11, 1981. Her parents were Vladimir Slezin and Anna Glebova. Her father worked with radio communication for ships. Her mother was a high school teacher. Natalie was an only child.
As a child, Natalie learned to play classical piano. She also competed in rhythmic gymnastics. When she was 13, Natalie and her family moved from Russia. They settled in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In Canada, her parents found jobs as software specialists.
After finishing high school, Natalie worked as a professional model in Toronto. She also earned a degree in business from Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan University). She studied information technology and marketing. Before joining beauty pageants, Natalie was a motivational speaker. She spoke to students in elementary and high schools.

Becoming Miss Universe Canada
Natalie Glebova first entered the Miss Universe Canada pageant in 2004. She placed third runner-up that year. The next year, she tried again. In 2005, she won the Miss Universe Canada 2005 title.
Winning Miss Universe
As Miss Universe Canada, Natalie represented her country. She competed in Miss Universe 2005. This big event was held in Bangkok, Thailand. During the competition, Natalie used the traditional Thai greeting called a "Wai". This helped her connect with the Thai audience and judges.
Natalie was crowned Miss Universe 2005. The previous winner, Jennifer Hawkins from Australia, placed the crown on her. Natalie's win was Canada's second Miss Universe title. The first was won by Karen Dianne Baldwin in Miss Universe 1982.
Life as Miss Universe
As Miss Universe, Natalie traveled a lot. She worked to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS. This was a main goal for the Miss Universe titleholder. She visited many countries for this cause.
In November, Natalie went to India for a leadership summit. She also toured Indian cities for an AIDS awareness program. In December, she visited Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. She then returned to Thailand. There, she marked the one-year anniversary of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami.
During her time as Miss Universe, Natalie visited Africa in July. She joined an AIDS Educational Tour. She also went to Malaysia, the Bahamas, and St. Martin. In March 2006, Natalie visited Russia. It was her first time back since she was a child. She took part in an HIV-AIDS awareness campaign in Moscow. She also attended a fashion show. She made many trips to Thailand and Canada.
She also attended national pageants in Ukraine, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Czech Republic, Thailand, Nicaragua, and Brazil. She crowned Alice Panikian as the next Miss Universe Canada in March 2006.
After Her Reign
After her time as Miss Universe ended, Natalie continued to work. She became a brand ambassador for different companies. In 2006, she became an ambassador for Singha Corp., a beer company in Thailand.
In 2008, Natalie joined The Amazing Race Asia 3. She teamed up with Pailin Rungratanasunthorn. They represented Thailand and finished in eighth place. In 2012, Natalie competed in Dancing with the Stars Thailand.
In May 2012, Natalie launched her own perfume. It was called Beauty Icon. She worked with a French company for this.
Natalie also helps animals. She is an ambassador for Soi Dog Foundation. This group helps homeless street animals in Thailand. In 2015, she became an ambassador for the Year of the Gibbon. She helps raise awareness for gibbon conservation. She cares about wildlife and works to stop photo-prop tourism that harms gibbons.
In 2018, Natalie started a program called Empowered. She partnered with Dr. Patama Mokaves Dumas. This program helps young people in high schools and universities. It teaches them confidence and positive thinking. The goal is to help them achieve their life goals. They teach a course called “Empowered YOU” at Bangkok University.
Personal Life
In 2006, Natalie Glebova started dating Paradorn Srichaphan. He is a professional tennis player from Thailand. They met at a tennis tournament. They got engaged the next year. They married in 2007 in Bangkok. The couple separated in early 2011 and later divorced.
