Natalie Turner facts for kids
Natalie Turner is a talented Canadian artist who works in animation. She is an animator, a special effects animator, and even teaches animation to students.
Early Animation Career
Natalie Turner began her exciting career in 1989. She joined Sullivan Bluth Studios as a special effects assistant. Here, she helped create animated movies like A Troll in Central Park and Rock-A-Doodle.
In 1991, Natalie moved to Nelvana, another well-known animation studio. She worked as a character assistant for the TV show Rupert. She also contributed to the animated film Cloud Pilot.
Working on Feature Films
After her time at Nelvana, Natalie started working on big feature films. She was a character assistant for Titan AE. She also worked as an effects assistant on Space Jam for Warner Brothers Animation.
Her work continued with Disney's Toronto animation studios, where she helped with Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. Later, she returned to Warner Brothers Animation for Looney Tunes: Back in Action.
Teaching Animation
Today, Natalie Turner shares her knowledge with new animators. She is a professor for the Classical Animation program at Sheridan College in Oakville.
Before joining Sheridan, she taught at Max the Mutt Animation School in Toronto. She also teaches at the Animex (Animation Exploration) workshop. This workshop is held at Visual Arts Brampton Creative Studio.
