Natalya Dmitrievna "Natasha" Stefanenko (born on April 18, 1969) is a famous Russian and Italian actress, model, and TV presenter. She works and lives in both Italy and Russia.

Early Life and Education

Natasha Stefanenko was born in Yekaterinburg, which was then called Sverdlovsk. Her father was a nuclear engineer from Belarus and Ukraine. He worked in a secret city near the Ural Mountains. Natasha grew up in this special, closed city. Her family also had a small country house, called a dacha, by a lake.

A Young Swimming Star

When Natasha was young, she was a talented swimmer. She even swam with the famous athlete Alexander Popov. She used to swim about 10 kilometers every day. In 1984, she almost joined the Soviet team for the Summer Olympic Games. However, she chose to continue her studies instead. The Soviet Union later decided not to go to the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.

Studying in Moscow

At 16, Natasha moved to Moscow to study. She earned a degree in Metal Engineering.

Career Highlights

After winning a modeling contest called Look of the Year in Moscow in 1991, Natasha moved to Milan, Italy. There, she started working as a model.

First Steps in Television

A TV director saw her in a restaurant and invited her to be on a TV show. This was her first TV appearance on a show called La grande sfida. She worked with the host Gerry Scotti. At that time, Natasha could not speak Italian.

Acting and Hosting

Natasha began her acting career in movies in 1999 with La grande prugna. She played a main character named Angela Cornelio in the TV series Nebbie e delitti (which means Fog and Crimes). This show was on TV from 2005 to 2009.

She has also hosted many TV programs. In 2001, she co-hosted Festivalbar. This was a yearly series of music concerts shown on TV across Italy. In 2009, she hosted Italia's Next Top Model. That same year, she also acted in a police TV show called Distretto di Polizia 9 (Police District 9). Since 2007, she has also hosted a Russian TV show called Snimite eto nemedlenno. This show is based on the British program What Not to Wear.

In 2001, Natasha also appeared in an advertisement called Natasha Stefanenko: La gigantessa. In the ad, she played a giantess who grew to a huge size without knowing it.

Personal Life

In December 1995, Natasha Stefanenko married Luca Sabbioni. He is an Italian businessman and a former model. They have one daughter named Sasha, who was born in 2000.
