Early Life and Education
Nathan Drake began his journey to become a doctor when he was 14 years old. In 1780, he started training with a doctor in York. Later, in 1786, he went to Edinburgh University to study medicine. He worked hard and earned his degree as a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 1789.
His Medical Career
After finishing his studies, Nathan Drake started his own medical practice. In 1790, he became a general doctor in Sudbury, a town in Suffolk. There, he became very good friends with another important person, John Mason Good. In 1792, Drake moved to Hadleigh, where he continued his work as a doctor. He lived there until he passed away in 1836.
