Nathan Solomon Kapahukula Knight (born September 20, 1997) is an American professional basketball player. He currently plays for the Zhejiang Lions in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Before turning pro, he played college basketball for the William & Mary Tribe.

Early Life and High School Basketball

Nathan Knight grew up in Syracuse, New York. He first attended Nottingham High School. When he was a freshman, he played baseball as a pitcher. However, after a sudden growth spurt, he decided to focus on basketball.

In his senior year of high school, Nathan was a top player. He scored about 14.1 points and grabbed 7.4 rebounds per game. He was also named All-Central New York. After high school, he spent a year at Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, New Hampshire. On October 5, 2015, he chose to play college basketball at William & Mary. He felt very comfortable there and liked the college's long history.

Becoming a College Basketball Star

Nathan started his college career strong. As a freshman, he averaged 8.2 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. Before his second year, he worked hard and lost 45 pounds, which helped his game a lot.

In his sophomore year, he became a key player. He averaged 18.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, and two blocks per game. This earned him a spot on the second-team All-Colonial Athletic Association (CAA).

Nathan had an amazing junior year. He scored a career-high 39 points in one game! He also had 35 points in another game and 30 points in a win against the College of Charleston. He was named first-team All-CAA. He averaged 21 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.3 blocks per game. He was the first college player since Tim Duncan in 1997 to have such high averages in points, rebounds, assists, and blocks.

For his senior season, Nathan decided to stay at William & Mary. He continued to play incredibly well. He scored 30 points in games against Buffalo and Oklahoma. In January 2020, he made a last-second shot to win a game against Northeastern. He also reached 2,000 career points, becoming only the fourth player in his school's history to do so.

At the end of his senior season, Nathan received two big awards. He was named CAA Player of the Year and CAA Defensive Player of the Year. He was only the second player in CAA history to win both awards in the same season! He finished the year averaging 20.7 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.
