The Ashley Hall Plantation is one of these historic sites. Its exact location is kept private to help protect it. It was added to the National Register in 1975.

Brooklands Plantation

Stono River Slave Rebellion Site

The Stono River Slave Rebellion Site is a National Historic Landmark located off U.S. Route 17 near Rantowles. Listed in 1974, it marks the location of one of the earliest and largest slave revolts in the American colonies.

Willtown Bluff

Ashley River Historic District

Charleston Naval Hospital Historic District

The Mount Pleasant Historic District is bounded by Charleston Harbor, Shem Creek, Royall Avenue, and McCants Drive. This charming area was listed in 1973.

Rockville Historic District

The Rockville Historic District covers the town of Rockville on the northern bank of Bohicket Creek. This historic town was listed in 1972.

Secessionville Historic District

Places No Longer Listed

NS Savannah

The NS Savannah was a special nuclear-powered merchant ship. It was once listed while at Patriot's Point in Mount Pleasant but was moved to Newport News, Virginia, and removed from the list in 2005.

USCGC Ingham

The Williams Graded School in Lincolnville was listed in 1980 but was sadly destroyed by fire and removed from the list in 1983.
